On October 7, 2026 the President approved major disaster declaration DR-4946-GU for Super Typhoon Bavi (July 4–12, 2026), adding FEMA Individual Assistance for Guam households: grants for temporary housing and home repairs, and low-cost loans for uninsured property losses. Apply by December 7, 2026 at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 671-735-1050 (local) or 1-800-621-3362, or with the FEMA App. Applying is free. A damage report to your mayor or a July site visit was not a FEMA application — you still need to apply. File with your insurance first. Have ready: Social Security number, the damaged home’s address, a contact number, insurance details, annual household income, bank information for direct deposit, and a description of the damage. Questions: Guam Recovery Office, (671) 478-7666 or (671) 478-7668, Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m., ia.gro@ghs.guam.gov.
